Crawford County

Crawford County is one of the most rugged and beautiful counties in Indiana.  Its hills, blanketed by state and national forests, are reminiscent of New England but with a mild four-season climate. It has the Ohio River at its southern border, Lake Patoka on the northwestern side and it is crossed by streams, rivers and caves. It is a haven for artists, writers, musicians, outdoor adventurers and people who just want to escape the city.  However, for those who want the excitement of the city, Louisville and it's International airport are less than an hour away.

I was fortunate enough to receive a grant to bike and paint throughout the county from the Indiana Arts Commission in 2004. This has been a pleasure for me and, I hope, has broadened the reputation of the beauty of the county.
