| OK, this page doesn't have much to
do with art but more to do with me. I've been a volunteer in one
thing or another since I was fourteen. I strongly believe that
everyone has something to contribute to his or her community. In
my case, it's mostly my art and energy.
I commit to donating 5% of any painting
sold through this web site to one of the following organizations.
You may choose which one when you place your order.
Crawford
County Public Library.
This is one of the most rural and beautiful counties in the state but that also
means that jobs are scarce and incomes low. I believe that
education is the key to escaping poverty and that books can help.
The Director of the Crawford County Library is a cherubic and energetic
little lady, Dr. Catherine Ramsey. I can guarantee that she will stretch
a dollar farther and make the most of any donation of books or technical
equipment. Click on the link above to learn more about the
library. Or write: Dr. Catherine Ramsey, Director, Crawford
County Public Library, PO box 159, English, IN 47118
(812) 338-2606.

American Cancer Society. Every family has been touched by
cancer and these people still need your help.

Ohio River Foundation.
Since
I'm getting so much pleasure biking along the Ohio River, I
thought I could help the people out who want to preserve it and
/ or clean it up. It's up to you. |
 |
Indiana Bicycle Coalition.
A state-wide organization to make biking safer and more fun for
everyone. I just participated in the Indiana Bike Fest
over Labor Day 2004. The organizers did a great job and I
picked up a lot of information. |

Jasper Community Arts
Commission. Hey, I need to support at least one arts
organization so why not the place where I work part-time?
They don't know I'm doing this unless they check out my website.
Let's surprise them with a donation. |

Helmets for Kids. This is
not an official organization, this is just my personal soapbox.
I'm convinced that my helmet saved my life last year, or at the
very least, prevented a major injury when when I found myself
flying headfirst over the handlebars. I just want to stop
and lecture people when I see them or their kids riding without
helmets. Anyone who wants to direct their 5% Do A Good Deed
funds towards this cause will be supporting the purchase and
giveaway of helmets to kids. |
Thank you for your
support in this matter.
