River Gare from the Pont du Gare, Watercolor, 19.5 x 26.5, Sold

The Pont du Gare is that beautiful arched bridge that the Romans built, then Napoleon rebuilt.  You may have seen it in the VW commercials.  It was originally an aquaduct.  I rode my bicycle over this bridge and took some photos.  If you look closely, those small dots in the lower right are actually people walking around.
